There's no tape, no glue, no exposed beads, and zero tension on the scalp — which is why IBE has become the go-to method for stylists who care about long-term hair health.

The whole point of the IBE method is to protect your natural hair. Because the beads carry the weight and there's no heat, glue, or pulling, IBE is considered one of the gentlest extension methods available — when it's installed properly by a trained stylist. Install labor at Lost Sheep Salon is $200 for one row (Volume & Fullness) and $400 for two rows (Full Transformation). The cost of the hair / wefts is separate and quoted at your consultation, because it depends on length, color, and how much hair your goal requires.

With proper care and regular move-up appointments, a single set of hair can last roughly six to twelve months — sometimes longer. The wefts get re-tied up to your roots as your hair grows, so you're never starting over from scratch.

Yes. Because IBE sits flat against the head with no exposed bonds, you can wear your hair up, throw it in a topknot, work out, swim, and use heat tools as normal. The extensions move with your hair and blend into your natural part.
